Who is responsible for your data
The publisher of VisionLock is responsible for the processing described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact vianneylemasson@gmail.com.
VisionLock is designed to support digital wellbeing. It is not a medical service and you should not enter sensitive health information into the app.
Data stored on your device
Your screen time information, blocked app selections, vision board items, moods, and most app preferences are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to VisionLock servers simply because you use these features.
Data we process
Depending on how you use VisionLock, we may process a pseudonymous app or subscription identifier, onboarding responses, optional feedback, subscription status, technical information about your device and app version, usage events, and diagnostic information when an error occurs.
If you contact us, we process the name, email address, and message you choose to send so we can respond.
Why we process data
We process data to provide and secure the app, maintain subscriptions, respond to support requests, understand product performance, measure marketing effectiveness when you have given the required permission, and diagnose errors.
Our legal bases are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving VisionLock, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where required. You can withdraw consent through your device settings where the processing depends on consent.
Third party tools we use
The following providers process data on our behalf or in connection with their services. Their own privacy policies explain their practices in more detail.
RevenueCat
Purpose: Subscription and in app purchase management.
Data: Pseudonymous app user ID, subscription status, purchase and entitlement information, and limited device or transaction metadata. Apple and Google process payment details directly.

Purpose: Product analytics and feature measurement.
Data: Pseudonymous analytics ID, app interactions, screens viewed, device and app information, and feature flag assignments. VisionLock uses PostHog's EU hosted service for this processing.

Purpose: Crash reporting and error diagnostics.
Data: Error reports, device and operating system information, app version, diagnostic context, and, where included by the operating system or app configuration, network and user context needed to investigate a fault.

Purpose: Backend database for onboarding responses and feedback.
Data: Pseudonymous RevenueCat user ID, onboarding answers, feedback messages, and feedback context such as app version, platform, and operating system version.

Purpose: Mobile marketing attribution.
Data: Advertising or attribution identifiers, IP address, app and device information, and campaign attribution data. This processing is used only when the permissions required by applicable law have been obtained.

Data: Technical request information such as IP address, browser details, and security logs necessary to deliver and protect this website.

If the GDPR or similar law applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal data.
To make a request, email vianneylemasson@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country of residence.
You can manage app permissions, including tracking permission, in your device settings. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple or Google account settings.
International transfers and retention
Some service providers may process data outside your country or the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
We retain data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Local data remains on your device until you delete it, reset the app, or remove it through the relevant feature.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when VisionLock or applicable law changes. The latest version will always be available on this page.
